Job summary

Quarrymans Hotel in Pyrmont, part of Laundy Hotel Group, is looking for an experienced 2IC / Assistant Venue Manager to lead daily operations and enhance guest experiences.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will manage rosters, recruit and train staff, and oversee functions, bar service, and venue maintenance, while upholding brand standards and an inclusive team culture. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, RSA/RCG/ARCG qualifications, and flexibility for evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an Assistant Venue Manager role or supervisor.
• Demonstrated experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
• Ability to lead by example, share knowledge, and motivate a team.
• Immaculate presentation standards and a strong focus on guest service.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Professional, driven, and a strong team player.
• Proactive and able to take initiative in operations and ideas.
• Strong gaming knowledge and current RSA, RCG and ARCG qualifications.
