Job summary

Workfast is seeking experienced Roller Operators to join the earthworks phase of a major Sub Station infrastructure project near Armidale, NSW. This long-term Tier 1 job involves civil construction works with ongoing opportunities.

You will operate rollers for compaction, assist with site operations, perform daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance, and uphold safety across the work zone. Required: Construction White Card, RIIMPO317F, PSSR Substation HV training, and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rollers on large-scale civil or Sub Station sites.
• Construction White Card and RIIMPO317F certification.
• PSSR Substation training and PSSR Work in HV areas are required.
• Valid Driver’s Licence with reliable transport to site.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate rollers for compaction on civil infrastructure and Substation site works.
• Compact subgrade, base, and finished surfaces to project specs.
• Assist with site operations, machinery spotting, and liaise with civil crews.
• Perform general labouring duties and materials handling as needed.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance.

Job description

Workfast is seeking experienced Roller Operators to join the earthworks phase of a major Sub Station infrastructure project near Armidale, NSW. This is a long-term opportunity working on a Tier 1 project supporting large-scale civil construction works, with further infrastructure works to follow.

Pay Rate: $43.00 p/hr + Overtime + Super
Location: Armidale, NSW
Hours: 6:30am start, 10–12 hour shifts
Roster: 11 days on 3 days off
Start Date: ASAP

What You Will Be Doing:

Operating rollers for compaction on civil infrastructure and Substation site works.

Compacting subgrade, base, and finished surfaces to required project specifications.

Assisting with site operations, spotting for machinery, and working closely with civil crews.

Performing general labouring duties and materials handling as required between operating tasks.

Conducting daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance.

Supporting safe and efficient operations across the work zone from the ground up.

What You Need:

Construction White Card (Essential).

RIIMPO317F Conduct roller operations (Must have).

PSSR Substation general training and PSSR Work in HV areas (Must have).

Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport to and from site.

Previous experience operating rollers on large-scale civil or Sub Station sites.

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.

Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and a reliable "can-do" attitude.

$43.00 p/hr + OT and Super.
