Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced 12–14 Ton Roller Operator to join a major rail and civil infrastructure project in NSW, near Cootamundra, just north of Wagga Wagga. This long-term Tier 1 program offers stable work across 42km of new rail and civil works.

You will operate 12–14 ton rollers, prepare surfaces to spec, support crews, and assist with safety and efficiency on site. Pre-starts and basic maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• White Card for construction work on site.
• RIIMPO317F certification for roller operations.
• Valid driver’s licence and RIW card preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate 12–14 ton rollers for compaction on civil/rail works.
• Compact subgrades, bases and finished surfaces to spec.
• Assist site operations and coordinate with supervisors.
• Perform labouring tasks between operating duties.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance.
• Support safe and efficient operations across the work zone.

Workfast is seeking experienced 12–14 Ton Roller Operators to join a major rail and civil infrastructure project in the Cootamundra region, just north of Wagga Wagga, NSW.

This is a long-term opportunity on a large-scale Tier 1 infrastructure program delivering over 42km of new rail and civil works. The project includes bulk earthworks, drainage, road realignments, and rail corridor construction — with up to 1.5 years of work on offer.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Operating 12–14 ton rollers for compaction on civil and rail infrastructure works
• Compacting subgrade, base, and finished surfaces to required specifications
• Assisting with site operations and working closely with supervisors and civil crews
• Performing labouring duties as required between operating tasks
• Conducting pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
• Supporting safe and efficient operations across the work zone

• Reliable transport to and from site
• Previous experience operating 12–14 ton rollers on civil sites
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

• $41.50p/hr + Overtime + Super
• Camp available for non locals
• Consistent long-term work with up to 2 years on site
• Daily travel and meal allowance when applicable
