Job summary

Mexx Engineering Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive technical sales of automated manufacturing systems. This contract role involves building client relationships, presenting CAD layouts, and advising on turnkey solutions such as Autobagger, Debagger, Palletiser and conveyors.

The ideal candidate has a tertiary engineering qualification and at least three years in robotics sales, with hands-on CAD skills (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, Solid Works) and PLC programming.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales related to robotic automation and machinery.
• Experience in automation or manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to prepare 2D/3D layouts and CAD simulations.

Responsibilities

• Sell complex automated manufacturing systems or turnkey solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with client organisations.
• Deliver technical presentations and CAD layouts to customers.
• Assess equipment needs with Operations/Engineering Directors and plan system requirements.
• Provide sales support and collaborate with senior management to drive opportunities.
• Recommend machinery and systems to lower costs or increase production.
