Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, is seeking a Roadway Maintenance Technician in Sydney to operate tractors, mowers, sweepers and related equipment while performing skilled highway maintenance and building upkeep.

You will guide and train less experienced staff, assist with repairs, respond to traffic incidents, and work with maintenance supervisors. The role requires a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement (desirable), 1–3+ years in roadway maintenance, and basic automotive knowledge.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes endorsement is desirable.
• 1–3 years experience in roadway maintenance, traffic control, and traffic management.
• Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment such as tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks, TMA’s and Snowplows.
• Inspects equipment and performs minor repairs as needed.
• Performs skilled maintenance including traffic control, pavement repair, landscaping, painting, relamping, guardrail and barrier repairs.
• Responds to traffic incidents and provides roadside assistance.
• Performs miscellaneous building maintenance.
• Any other duties as assigned.
