Job summary

Batteries On The Go is hiring a Mobile Roadside Technician for a night shift across Greater Sydney. This full-time role includes a take-home company vehicle and a fuel card, Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm–12am, starting from home each shift.

You will diagnose starting and charging faults, replace batteries, assist with tyres and emergency fuel, and coordinate with dispatch while keeping reports up to date. A current Australian driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Automotive industry experience required (mechanic, auto electrician, roadside tech, tyre fitter, fleet tech preferred).
• Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, customer-first approach.
• Clear, friendly communication to explain issues and solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Test and replace vehicle batteries, provide jump starts, diagnose starting/charging faults.

The role at a glance

Employment: Full-time.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, plus super.

Roster: Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm-12am

Location: On the road across Greater Sydney.

Vehicle: Fully maintained take-home company vehicle and fuel card provided.

Start: From home each shift.

Your role and responsibilities

• Test and replace vehicle batteries, provide jump starts and diagnose starting and charging system faults.
• Help customers with flat tyres and emergency fuel delivery.
• Take the time to understand each customer’s situation, explain what’s needed and provide practical advice.
• Keep customers informed and reassured while working safely and efficiently.
• Work with our customer service team to coordinate assistance and keep job details up to date.
• Complete job reports accurately, look after the company vehicle, tools and equipment.
