Charter Diligence is seeking a reliable Road Worker to join a Government road maintenance crew based at Singleton Depot, NSW. This hands-on outdoor role involves routine maintenance, pothole repairs and traffic control support as part of a regional team.

You will work 6:30am–3:30pm on a 9-day fortnight with 6 months duration and potential extension. Current White Card, valid Class C license and WHS focus are essential. Salary is paid at AUD 45.45 per hour plus super.

Qualifications

• Current Construction White Card.
• Current and unrestricted Class C Driver Licence or higher.
• Current Workers on Foot certificate or willing to obtain.
• Previous road maintenance or civil construction experience.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work.
• Strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a crew environment.
• Willingness to complete required pre-employment and compliance checks.
• Full PPE including long pants, long-sleeved shirt and suitable work boots.
• Valid and unrestricted working rights in Australia. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine road, pavement and roadside maintenance.
• Assist with pothole repairs, patching and general road repairs.
• Support road construction and maintenance activities.
• Use hand tools, power tools and appropriate small plant safely.
• Assist with signage, guide posts and other roadside assets.
• Support traffic control and work-zone activities where appropriately ticketed.
• Load, unload and move materials, tools and equipment.
• Complete site preparation, clean-up and general labouring duties.
• Participate in daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety checks.
• Identify and report hazards, defects and unsafe conditions.
• Work safely around vehicles, mobile plant and live traffic.
• Follow supervisor instructions, safe work procedures and site requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across worksites.
