Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Road Worker for a 3-month contract based in Mittagong, NSW, within a Government sector role. The position offers a pay rate of $45.45 per hour plus Super, with a 9-day fortnight schedule from Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am–4:00pm.

The role supports the NSW state highway network, performing road maintenance and civil works as part of a crew. Essential requirements include WoF, White Card, a current driver’s licence, and Traffic Control tickets

• Experience as road worker or civil construction role.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of existing pavements and drainage systems.
• Construction and upgrade of pavements and drainage infrastructure.
• Installation and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signage.
• Road maintenance works including minor and heavy patching.
• Repairs to guardrails and safety barriers.
• Vegetation removal and general labouring duties as required.

About the Role

This role supports the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure across the NSW state highway network. You will be part of a crew delivering a range of road maintenance and civil works.

• Installation and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signage
• Road maintenance works including minor and heavy patching
• Repairs to guardrails and safety barriers

Essential Requirements

• Workers on Foot (WoF)
• General Construction Induction (White Card)
• Current valid driver’s licence
• Traffic Control tickets – Traffic Controller (TCR) and Implementer (IMP)
• MR/HR licence preferred but not essential
