Job summary

Ballina Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our road maintenance team on the Far North Coast of New South Wales. You will perform labouring duties across roads, footpaths, cycleways and drainage, reporting to the Supervisor of Road Maintenance to support our infrastructure program.

You will bring experience in road maintenance, a Class C licence with manual transmission, and a White Card, contributing to a safe, collaborative workplace and diverse projects within the

Qualifications

• General maintenance duties for roads and roadsides, including concreting, pipe laying, sign installation and vegetation management.
• Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to operate a range of minor plant and equipment.
• Experience performing physical labour.
• Hold a valid Class C driver licence with manual transmission capability.
• Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction (White Card).

Responsibilities

• Join the road maintenance team and assist with a variety of labouring duties for road maintenance and construction projects.
• Maintain roads, roadsides, footpaths, cycleways, kerbs and gutters, drainage systems and bridge structures within the Engineering Works section.
• Work as part of a diverse team to keep the shire connected and thriving.
