Sarina Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Acute and Emergency ward on a six-week contract in Sarina, Queensland. The role features rotating 8-hour shifts and on-call components, with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight.

Ideal candidates will have rural nursing experience and a solid background in emergency department triage, with strong clinical communication and teamwork skills. Experience with ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart or HBCIS is valued.

RN - Sarina Hospital - Acute / Emergency

Sarina Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Acute and Emergency ward on a six-week contract basis. This is a Grade 5 position starting 12 October 2026 in Sarina, Queensland, offering the chance to work in a dynamic rural healthcare setting. The role operates on a rotating 8-hour shift pattern, including on-call shifts, with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight. Two positions are available for nurses ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Preferred Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in rural nursing practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience with Queensland Health systems, ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, or HBCIS is highly valued
• Prior placement or employment with Mackay Hospital and Health Service or other Queensland Health facilities is advantageous
