Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group is seeking a Registered Nurse for Mackay Base Hospital's Day Surgery Unit on a two-week contract starting 26 October 2026. Based in Mackay, Queensland, this Grade 5 role features extended day surgery exposure and a 24/7 roster with 6, 8, 10 and 12‑hour shifts across a rotating schedule.

Preferred candidates will hold current AHPRA registration, demonstrate flexibility for shift patterns, and show strong perioperative communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.

Responsibilities

RN - Mackay Base Hospital - Day Surgery Unit

Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery Unit on a two-week contract starting 26 October 2026. Based in Mackay, Queensland, this Grade 5 nursing role offers the opportunity to work across extended day surgery in a dynamic healthcare setting. The position runs through 8 November 2026 with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight, working rotating shifts across 6, 8, 10 and 12-hour patterns, including early, late and night shifts across the 24/7 roster.
