Job description

Better begins here

Crown Resorts is a great place to visit and it’s an even better place to work, a place where you can play your part in creating fun, memorable, world-class experiences for our guests and our people. We value passion, optimism, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.

The role:

At Crown Sydney, we’re redefining what exceptional looks like. From luxury hotels and world-class dining to entertainment and gaming, every experience we deliver is built on trust, integrity and excellence.

We’re looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our Sydney team and play a key role in strengthening and evolving our enterprise risk framework across the business. This is your opportunity to partner with senior leaders, influence strategic decision-making and help shape a strong risk culture across financial and non-financial business units within one of Australia’s most dynamic and highly regulated environments.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you’ll be the go-to advisor on enterprise risk management across Crown Sydney. You’ll work closely with executives, operational leaders and key stakeholders to identify, assess and manage risks, while ensuring the business continues to operate with confidence, accountability and resilience.

This isn’t your average risk role. You know how to balance challenge with partnership and can translate complex risk concepts into practical business outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to influence meaningful decisions, work on complex challenges and contribute to an organisation committed to continuous improvement and accountability.

You’ll be:
  • You’ll be naturally curious, commercially minded and comfortable asking the tough questions
  • Driving and embedding Crown’s enterprise risk management framework across the Sydney property
  • Support Line 2 oversight and reporting of department risks, incidents and issues
  • Reviewing and challenging departmental risk profiles and ensuring they remain current and effective
  • Partnering with leaders to identify, assess and manage key strategic, operational and regulatory risks.
  • Monitoring risk incidents, issues and emerging trends, and helping drive meaningful action.
  • Providing oversight of key controls across financial and non-financial risk areas.
  • Supporting projects and business initiatives with practical, commercially focused risk advice.
  • Facilitating risk workshops and training programs to strengthen risk awareness and capability.
  • Building strong relationships across the business to foster a positive and proactive risk culture.
You’ll bring:
  • 6+ years’ experience in risk management, governance, compliance or a related discipline
  • Experience working within a large, complex or highly regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging executive leaders
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability with demonstrated technical ability across risk and controls
  • The ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Risk, Governance, Commerce or a similar field
  • Experience within gaming, hospitality, financial services or another regulated industry will be highly regarded
  • Ability to obtain all required Casino Employee Licenses
On offer to you:
  • Complimentary meals in our staff restaurant
  • Discounts across selected food and beverage venues
  • Exclusive accommodation discounts across Crown Sydney, Melbourne and Perth
  • Access to health and wellbeing benefits, novated leasing and a range of employee discounts
  • Recognition and reward opportunities through Crown’s company-wide awards program
  • The chance to get involved in community, diversity and inclusion initiatives

On top of exciting career possibilities, we offer better exposure to experiences and learning.

Our Crown Community celebrates uniqueness and embraces diversity. We welcome the creativity, insights and experiences from people of different race, age, religion, cultural background, gender, people with disability, people who identify as LGBTIQ+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; people like you.
