Job summary

Crown Sydney is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to strengthen and evolve the enterprise risk framework across the business. You will partner with senior leaders to identify, assess and manage risks, ensuring confidence and resilience across financial and non-financial units.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you’ll translate complex risk concepts into practical business outcomes, influence strategic decisions, and contribute to a culture of accountability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in risk management, governance, compliance
• Experience in large, complex or highly regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder management and executive engagement
• Analytical and problem-solving capability with risk and controls
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide actionable insights
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Risk, Governance or Commerce
• Experience in gaming, hospitality or financial services highly regarded
• Ability to obtain Casino Employee Licenses

Responsibilities

• Lead and embed Crown's enterprise risk management framework across the Sydney property
• Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage key strategic, operational and regulatory risks
• Support Line 2 oversight and reporting of department risks, incidents and issues
• Review departmental risk profiles and ensure they remain current and effective
• Provide practical risk advice to projects and business initiatives
• Facilitate risk workshops and training to strengthen risk awareness and capability

We're looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our Sydney team and play a key role in strengthening and evolving our enterprise risk framework across the business. This is your opportunity to partner with senior leaders, influence strategic decision-making and help shape a strong risk culture across financial and non-financial business units within one of Australia's most dynamic and highly regulated environments.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you'll be the go-to advisor on enterprise risk management across Crown Sydney. You'll work closely with executives, operational leaders and key stakeholders to identify, assess and manage risks, while ensuring the business continues to operate with confidence, accountability and resilience.

This isn't your average risk role. You know how to balance challenge with partnership and can translate complex risk concepts into practical business outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to influence meaningful decisions, work on complex challenges and contribute to an organisation committed to continuous improvement and accountability.

You’ll be:

• You’ll be naturally curious, commercially minded and comfortable asking the tough questions
• Driving and embedding Crown's enterprise risk management framework across the Sydney property
• Support Line 2 oversight and reporting of department risks, incidents and issues
• Reviewing and challenging departmental risk profiles and ensuring they remain current and effective
• Partnering with leaders to identify, assess and manage key strategic, operational and regulatory risks.
• Monitoring risk incidents, issues and emerging trends, and helping drive meaningful action.
• Providing oversight of key controls across financial and non-financial risk areas.
• Supporting projects and business initiatives with practical, commercially focused risk advice.
• Facilitating risk workshops and training programs to strengthen risk awareness and capability.
• Building strong relationships across the business to foster a positive and proactive risk culture.

You’ll bring:

• 6+ years' experience in risk management, governance, compliance or a related discipline
• Experience working within a large, complex or highly regulated environment
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging executive leaders
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability with demonstrated technical ability across risk and controls
• The ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide actionable insights
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Risk, Governance, Commerce or a similar field
• Experience within gaming, hospitality, financial services or another regulated industry will be highly regarded
• Ability to obtain all required Casino Employee Licenses
