Are you a physio, OT, exercise physiologist, nurse or psychologist who wants to see your clinical skills drive real outcomes, not just appointments? This role puts your understanding of injury, recovery and function at the centre of how workers get back to work.
Based in Glebe and working across Sydney, you will manage injury management and return to work for your own portfolio of employer clients. You will be embedded with those employers as the person they rely on, and you will own what happens on their claims. This isn’t case administration. You will be accountable for how quickly workers recover and return, what claims cost, and whether clients stay with us.
What you will do
- Manage claims from referral through to a sustainable return to work, across multiple client accounts
- Contact the worker, employer and treating doctor on the day a referral comes in - early intervention is key!
- Use your clinical knowledge to run medical case conferences that actually move capacity forward
- Keep every return-to-work plan current, signed and progressing
- Identify suitable duties that match each worker’s capacity and the employer’s needs
- Track cost and duration against benchmarks each week, and act early when a claim starts to drift
- Deliver client reports on time, without being chased
- Build employer capability in early reporting, suitable duties and a positive return to work culture
- Spot service opportunities and help grow new business through your own networks
About you
- A degree in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, nursing, psychology or a related allied health field
- Experience in workers compensation, injury management, occupational rehabilitation or return to work, with NSW scheme experience highly regarded
- SIRA-accredited Return to Work Coordinator training, or a willingness to complete it
- Confident translating clinical information into practical decisions for employers, insurers and treating practitioners
- Commercially aware, and comfortable discussing cost, duration and value directly with clients
- Organised enough to run a portfolio across several accounts, each with its own expectations
- Self-directed and proactive. This is a fast-paced role with real autonomy, and the people who thrive here don’t wait to be told what the priority is
- Current NSW driver’s licence

About Ache Group
Ache Group is an NSW occupational rehabilitation and injury management provider. We are not on insurer panels. Every account we hold was won on results and is kept the same way. That shapes how we work: responsive, commercially aware, and accountable for outcomes rather than activity.
