Job summary

Highlands Selection Centre in Mittagong, NSW, is seeking a full‑time salesperson for our tile showroom. You will assist customers with tile, flooring, and bathroom offerings, helping coordinate cohesive and stylish outcomes across projects.

The role involves working with showroom teams and suppliers to deliver design-led solutions, with a focus on customer service, accuracy, and a passion for interiors.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales with customers from design inception through ordering and installation.
• Demonstrated passion for design and interiors.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in plans and drawings.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the tile and flooring department including quoting, order processing, and project follow-up.
• Drive sales growth within the tile department in coordination with Kitchen and Bathroom teams for whole‑home solutions.
• Work with architects, builders and designers; interpret customer plans and drawings.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure up-to-date collections, price files and logistics.
• Maintain high standards of design and customer service quality.

Job description

In this full-time position, you will assist customers mainly in our tile showroom and assist in the expansion of our flooring offering. You will also assist customers with our Bathroom's offering, helping coordinate cohesive and stylish outcomes across their projects; working closely with the Showroom team for a renovation or new build solution. This full time role is ideally Sunday to Thursday, but is negotiable.

Key responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the tile and flooring department, including quoting, order processing, and project follow-up

Drive sales growth within the tile department, working together with the Kitchen and Bathroom departments for a whole of home solution

Work with architectures, builders, designers; interpreting customer plans and drawings

Collaborate with our suppliers ensuring up to date collections, price files and logistics

Maintain a strong attention to detail across all aspects of design and customer service

A willingness to train at an entry level in our Kitchen showroom and learn our bathroom offering

A genuine passion for design and interiors

Proven experience in sales, with the ability to confidently work with customers from design inception through the ordering process to installation
