Job summary

Tile Collective in Labrador, QLD, is hiring for a full-time Retail Showroom role. You will assist customers with tile selections, prepare quotes and sales orders, manage inventory, and help run in-store marketing campaigns. The job requires weekends on a rotating roster and a collaborative team approach.

Ideal candidates bring showroom experience or strong customer service, a reliable work ethic, and the ability to engage builders, tradespeople, architects, and consumers in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Permanent residency status is required for this position.
• Prior experience in a Retail Showroom.
• Strong customer service experience acceptable if showroom experience is lacking.
• Strong work ethic—punctual and reliable.
• Ability to work in a team environment and Saturdays on a rotating roster.
• Experience selling flooring or building products preferred.
• Forklift ticket is highly regarded but not essential to assist with storage room.

Job description

The Tile Collective is an industry leader in top quality tiles and tiling products who are known for quality, customer service and value. We have recently experienced a period of significant growth and we now need to expand our Labrador Store Team with additional full time staff members.

Role

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will assist with the daily operation of the Retail Showroom and Trade Centre, assisting our customers with their selection of Tiles.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Preparation and follow up of quotes and sales orders with customers and clients
• Inventory management
• Execute in-store marketing campaigns
• Work with the team to ensure KPI targets are met
• Assist with the organisation and cleanliness of the store

You

To be successful in the role you will have the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:

• Permanent residency status is required for this position.
• Prior experience in a Retail Showroom
• Strong customer service experience is acceptable in lieu of specific showroom experience
• Strong work ethic - punctual and reliable
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work Saturdays on a rotating roster
• Experience preferred in selling flooring or other relatable building products, and are comfortable dealing with Builders, Tradespeople, Architects and consumers.
• Forklift ticket or willingness to get forklift ticket highly regarded but not essential to assist with organisation of storage room
