Job summary

Brennan Sourcing is seeking a Retail State Leader for NSW to own state sales, margins and operating profit. You will lead a team of Store Managers and nurture relationships with partner operators across a mix of company-owned and independent sites.

The role blends B2C retail leadership with growing B2B trade, requiring a strong commercial mindset, strategic influence, and willingness to travel across NSW. Based in Sydney with interstate travel flexibility.

About the Role

Our client is a well-known Australian retail brand with a substantial footprint across NSW, operating through a mix of company-owned stores and independent business partners. They're seeking a Retail State Leader to take full commercial ownership of the state - sales, margin and operating profit - while leading a team of Store Managers and building strong, influence-based relationships with partner operators.

This is a genuinely broad commercial role. You'll drive performance across both a retail (B2C) customer base and a growing trade (B2B) segment - exposure most single-channel retail leadership roles simply don't offer.

About You

• Proven experience leading multi-site retail or service networks at a state or regional level, with real P&L accountability
• Comfortable leading through influence as well as direct authority - ideal if you've worked with franchisees, licensees, dealers or independent business partners, though not essential
• A strong commercial and sales leadership background, with a track record of building high-performing teams
• Exposure to both B2B and B2C customer bases, or genuine enthusiasm to grow into a role that spans both
• Based in Sydney, with flexibility to travel across the NSW network
