Job summary

Seek is seeking a hands-on Store Manager to lead a high-performing store, servicing industrial and trade clients across Australia. You will own performance, presentation and culture, leading from the front to drive sales and operational standards while building an accountable team.

You will manage daily operations, customer experiences, inventory, compliance and WHS, coaching a diverse team and using data to lift sales and profitability, with flexibility for weekends and roster requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on retail leadership with a track record of lifting store performance.
• Experience as a Store Manager or 2IC in a high-volume retail, industrial or trade-based environment.
• Proven coaching, performance management and people leadership skills.
• Comfort using data and reports to drive decisions and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive and exceed store sales targets and KPIs.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and recommend solutions.
• Analyse sales reports to identify trends, opportunities and underperformance.
• Implement sales initiatives and local area marketing activities in line with company strategy.
• Onboard and train new team members using established induction programs.
• Run regular coaching sessions, performance check-ins and corrective action where required.
• Create a positive, high-performance culture with clear expectations and follow-through.
• Ensure team adherence to rosters, time and attendance standards and company policies.
• Maintain visual merchandising, stock presentation and overall store standards.
• Manage inventory levels to optimise availability and minimise shrinkage.
• Oversee end-of-day processes including banking, security and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with WHS obligations, company policies and all relevant legislation.
• Resolve customer issues or complaints professionally.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you will own the performance, presentation and culture of your store. You will lead from the front, driving sales and operational standards while building a reliable, accountable team.

You Will

• Lead by example by achieving your own sales targets, operational excellence and strong attendance
• Take full responsibility for daily store operations and customer experience
• Build strong relationships with industrial and trade clients, both new and existing
• Hold your team accountable for sales, KPIs, attendance and customer service standards
• Identify process improvements to lift efficiency, compliance and profitability

What You’ll Be Doing

Sales & Customer Experience

About You

You are a hands-on retail leader with strong operational discipline and a track record of lifting store performance.

• Experience as a Store Manager or 2IC in a high-volume retail, industrial or trade-based environment
• Proven success leading teams to achieve sales, KPIs and operational standards
• Strong coaching, performance management and people leadership skills
• Confidence using data and reports to drive decisions and improvements
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and some public holidays
