Job summary

RSEA Safety is seeking an experienced State Sales Manager to lead NSW B2B sales from our Hurstville base. You will guide a team of 10+ professionals, drive revenue growth, manage margins and coach across metropolitan and regional territories.

You will own sales budgets, forecasts and pricing decisions while collaborating with major accounts, retail, distribution and warehousing teams to fulfil customer commitments. Regular travel is required across NSW/ACT.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of sales management experience.
  • Experience leading a sizeable sales team across multiple locations or territories.
  • Background in product-based B2B sales (wholesale, distribution, industrial products, workwear or safety).
  • Proven track record of revenue growth and managing margins, budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience developing salespeople and improving team performance.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with customers and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across NSW and the ACT.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a geographically dispersed team through regular coaching, field visits and performance reviews
  • Set clear sales targets, territory priorities and activity expectations
  • Build capability in prospecting, account development, negotiation and closing
  • Hold the team accountable for results and address underperformance directly
  • Develop and execute sales plans across NSW and the ACT
  • Drive new business acquisition, customer retention and growth within existing accounts
  • Review territory coverage and call cycles to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Support key customer relationships, tenders, presentations and commercial negotiations
  • Own state sales budgets, revenue targets and margin performance
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and oversee pipeline management
  • Guide pricing decisions to balance customer growth with profitability
  • Use sales data and market insights to identify risks, prioritise activity and improve results
  • Work closely with Major Accounts, Customer Service, Retail, Distribution and Warehousing teams to deliver on customer commitments
  • Resolve escalated issues and support practical improvements to the customer experience
  • Align sales activity with stock availability, operational capacity and broader business priorities
  • You’re an experienced B2B sales leader who knows how to get results through people.
  • You’re comfortable in the field, confident in commercial discussions and willing to have direct conversations when standards or performance need to improve.

The Role

We’re seeking a commercially driven State Sales Manager to lead our NSW B2B sales team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Hurstville.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll lead more than 10 sales professionals across NSW and the ACT, with responsibility for revenue growth, profitability and team performance.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with regular travel across metropolitan and regional territories. You’ll spend time in the field coaching your team, supporting customer meetings and progressing larger opportunities, while keeping a clear focus on sales activity, pipeline quality and results.

You’ll bring the ability to develop people, set clear expectations and address performance gaps, alongside the commercial judgement to grow the business profitably.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You’re an experienced B2B sales leader who knows how to get results through people. You’re comfortable in the field, confident in commercial discussions and willing to have direct conversations when standards or performance need to improve.

You will bring

At least five years’ sales management experience

Experience leading a sizeable sales team across multiple locations or territories

A background in product-based B2B sales, ideally within wholesale, distribution, industrial products, workwear or safety

A track record of delivering revenue growth and managing margins, budgets and forecasts

Experience developing salespeople and improving team performance

The ability to build relationships with customers and work effectively across internal teams

Willingness to travel regularly across NSW and the ACT
