Job summary

Securecorp is seeking a professional Retail Security Officer for a busy North Lakes retail precinct. You will protect the precinct, deter theft, monitor activity and deliver excellent customer service to retailers, staff and visitors.

This part-time role operates a fortnightly rotating roster across Thursday, Friday and Saturday with morning, afternoon and evening shifts, offering competitive Level 3 Award rates plus superannuation and opportunities for career progression within a national

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Security Licence with Crowd Control endorsement (mandatory).
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Previous experience in retail security or customer-facing security role.
• Strong communication, observation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to stay calm and proactive in incidents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the retail precinct.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service while assisting retailers, employees and visitors.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to identify security risks and potential hazards.
• Monitor activity and address theft, antisocial behaviour and loss prevention concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies and complaints promptly and appropriately.
• Support access control, crowd management and enforcement of site rules.
• Liaise with retailers, site management and emergency services as required.
• De-escalate situations using effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs.
• Follow all site procedures and safety requirements.

Securecorp is seeking a professional and experienced Retail Security Officer to join our team at a busy retail precinct in North Lakes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment, maintaining a strong security presence and helping create a safe and welcoming experience for retailers, employees and visitors.

You will play an important role in protecting the precinct, preventing theft and antisocial behaviour, monitoring site activity and responding to incidents as they arise. Working closely with retailers, management and members of the public, you will help maintain a secure environment while delivering professional customer service and upholding Securecorp's high standards.

This is a part-time opportunity offering a consistent, fortnightly rotating roster across Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a mix of morning, afternoon and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Current Queensland Security Licence with Crowd Control endorsement (mandatory).
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Previous experience in retail security or a similar customer-facing security role.
• Strong communication, observation and conflict resolution skills.
