Fitness Cartel Health Clubs in Mackay is recruiting a Retail Manager for our soon-to-open club. You will oversee the Pro-Shop and Barbell Café, lead the retail and reception teams, and uphold exceptional customer service to maximise sales.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of retail sales supervisory experience, preferably in fitness or supplements.
• Demonstrated drive to hit individual targets and team goals.
• Experience in a KPI-driven retail environment.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse customers and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication, listening and influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Retail Assistants and provide training and ongoing support.

At Fitness Cartel Health Clubs, we’re more than a gym - we’re an exciting and fast-growing brand with plans to expand to 60+ clubs by 2030. We’re now actively recruiting a Retail Manager for our Mackay club opening soon!

The Role

Retail Managers are a major part of the \"Engine Room\" of our business. They promote and represent our company, values and culture. As the face of the business, you’ll be responsible for the Pro-Shop and Barbell Café at our Mackay club.

Working alongside the Customer Service Manager and Club Manager, you’ll oversee the retail and reception teams, help maintain a high level of customer service and maximise sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Retail Assistants, providing training and ongoing support to new employees.
• Prepare rosters with the Customer Service Manager to ensure adequate coverage at busy times.
• Track retail sales, order supplements, food and beverages, and assist with stock control.
• Keep up to date with current products and new products entering the market.
• Work with the Retail team to meet and exceed sales targets and other KPIs.
• Create daily Facebook and Instagram posts.
• Follow directions, prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• At least three years’ retail sales supervisory experience, ideally in the fitness industry or with nutrition and supplements.
• A strong drive to achieve individual targets and team goals.
• Experience working in a KPI-driven environment.
• The ability to build rapport with people from varied backgrounds and support them in achieving their goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome challenges.
