Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Business, Retail Management or related field.
• 1–2 years of retail management experience.
• Experience in stock control and supplier ordering.

About One Pear Tree One Pear Tree is an established Frankston business combining hospitality services with a dedicated retail section offering home décor, jewellery, giftware and other carefully selected products. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the retail section and support the continued growth and development of this part of the business. About the Role The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the retail section, including stock control, supplier ordering, merchandising, staff supervision, promotions, customer service and maintaining sales and stock records.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the home décor, jewellery and giftware retail section.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate supplier orders and replenishment.
• Maintain attractive product displays and visual merchandising across the retail area.
• Roster, train and supervise staff involved in retail and customer service operations.
• Maintain accurate stock and sales records.
• Plan and coordinate social media promotions, posters and other promotional activities for the retail range.
• Provide customer advice on retail products and manage customer enquiries and complaints.
• Develop and maintain efficient operational procedures and workflows for the retail section.
• Assist in determining the retail product range, stock requirements and pricing based on customer demand and sales performance.
• Monitor retail operating costs and ensure the retail area operates in accordance with applicable workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

• A Diploma or equivalent qualification, or higher, in Business, Business Management, Retail Management or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in retail management, business management or a closely related supervisory or management role.
• Experience in stock control and supplier ordering.
• Experience supervising and rostering staff.
• Experience in visual merchandising and retail product presentation.
• Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate sales and stock records.
• Ability to manage day-to-day retail operations effectively and independently.
