Job summary

Spar Express in Dunwich, Queensland, is seeking a full-time Retail Manager to oversee our supermarket operations in-store.

You will lead staff, drive sales, ensure stock control and merchandising, and uphold customer service standards. The role requires an AQF Diploma (or higher) in retail management or related field with 1–2 years of supervisory experience. Salary offered is 80,000–90,000 AUD plus super.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Dunwich store and ensure smooth daily running.
• Develop business strategies to raise customer base, store traffic and profitability.
• Train, motivate, and mentor sales staff to meet sales goals and provide feedback.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, stocktaking, and shrinkage control.
• Prepare staff rosters and manage wage costs within budget.
• Address issues from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.).

Our client, Spar Express, is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Retail Manager to manage our supermarket in Dunwich. Job Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing the operations of a retail store. Duties:

• Develop business strategies to raise our customer base, expand store traffic and optimise profitability
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
• Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
• Manage stock levels, ordering and stocktaking, including perishable and chilled lines, and control shrinkage
• Prepare staff rosters and manage wage costs within budget
• Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)

Qualification Requirements:

• AQF Diploma or

Higher in retail management, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

• 1–2 years of experience in a related field, including supervisory or team leadership responsibility

Salary: $80,000– $90,000 + Superannuation Employment Condition: Full Time / 38 hours per week Work Location: In person
