Medina IGA in Medina, WA, is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, purchasing, pricing and staff management. The role requires coordinating stock levels, promotions and customer service to meet budget and safety standards.

You will lead a team, monitor performance and drive store profitability while ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace regulations. 38 hours per week, full-time.

Qualificações

• Diploma of Business Management or Retail Management is desirable.
• Minimum 1 year experience in supermarket or retail management.

Responsabilidades

Position Description

Ansuya Pty Ltd T/A Medina IGA is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the supermarket. The successful applicant will manage product selection, stock levels, purchasing, pricing, sales activities and staff performance while ensuring the store operates efficiently, meets customer expectations and complies with relevant retail, food safety and workplace requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Determining the appropriate range and quantity of grocery products, fresh food, household goods and other merchandise to meet customer demand and maintain suitable stock availability.
• Developing and implementing purchasing, pricing and promotional strategies in line with supplier arrangements, market conditions and the store's operating budget.
• Coordinating the ordering and replenishment of merchandise, negotiating with suppliers and monitoring stock movement to minimise shortages, excess inventory and wastage.
• Overseeing the presentation, display and merchandising of products, including implementing promotional campaigns, catalogue specials and in-store marketing activities.
• Supervising sales activities and assisting customers with product enquiries, recommendations, purchases and the resolution of service concerns.
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory, supplier orders, sales, stock adjustments and financial transactions, and reviewing store performance.
• Preparing and monitoring operating budgets, controlling expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve sales, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Recruiting, training, allocating duties to and supervising retail staff to ensure adequate store coverage and consistent customer service.
• Monitoring daily store operations, including checkout activities, stock replenishment, product displays and the cleanliness and organisation of the premises.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable workplace health and safety, food handling, product storage, consumer protection and other retail regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Business Management, Retail Management or a relevant qualification is desirable.

Skills and Other Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in supermarket, grocery retail or relevant retail management roles.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, stock control and inventory management.
• Ability to manage purchasing, pricing, supplier relationships and operating budgets.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supervising and training staff.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve store operations.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety, food safety and retail compliance requirements.
