Bunnings in Sydney is seeking a Department Manager to oversee daily operations, sales, and high-volume stock management in a busy specialist area. You will lead 20+ team members and report directly to the Operations Manager and Complex Manager.

You will develop your team, deliver Best Experience to customers, and ensure the department showcases our widest range and best prices. Collaboration with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health & Safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Must lead a large team with safety focus and wellbeing.
• Experience in retail or high-volume customer focus is preferred.
• Ability to manage KPIs and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment, while performing duty manager responsibilities.
• Build team capability on Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance; manage performance and recognition.
• Roster and plan for service delivery; drive department sales through merchandising and metrics.
• Act on customer feedback to improve end-to-end experience.
• Own stock accuracy including replenishment and loss prevention.
