Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager to oversee daily store operations, sales and high-volume stock in a specialist area. You will lead a 20+ team, work with peers in Service, Inside the Home, and Garden, and report to the Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager.

Focus on delivering Best Experience and maintaining stock integrity. You will train and develop your team, drive service excellence, and collaborate with Merchandising, Health & Safety, and Store Leadership to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of 20+ to deliver Best Experience and safety culture.
• Experience in leading teams in retail or high-volume customer focus environments.
• Strong focus on Safety and Wellbeing; capable of evaluating KPIs and driving results.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 20+ member team to maintain an engaged, safe work environment and manage duty manager duties.
• Build capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance through coaching.
• Oversee rostering and strategic planning to meet service promises.
• Drive department sales via merchandising and key metric monitoring.
• Act on customer feedback to improve end-to-end experience.
• Maintain stock accuracy, replenish efficiently, and manage loss prevention.
