Prices Plus in Moranbah is seeking an experienced retail assistant for a fast-paced, high-volume store. You will deliver friendly service, handle queries, and process returns, while keeping checksouts moving and stock presentation sharp.

The role requires flexibility across weekdays, strong cash handling, and a proactive attitude to support the Shift Supervisor and team during peak trading times. Training and staff discounts are provided.

Qualifications

We’re on the hunt for an experienced retail assistant to join the team at our Moranbah store. Our stores are fast-paced and high-volume. We need someone who knows the ropes, can hustle, keeps queues moving, and still manages to make every single customer feel like the most important person in the room.

The hours

• Shifts are spread across weekdays (aligned with our standard store trading hours).
• Flexibility across a range of days and times is a must-have.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering fast, friendly service, handling queries, and processing returns without missing a beat
• Operating the register, flying through sales, refunds, and exchanges on our POS system, and keeping checkouts moving
• Unpacking stock, hitting the floor to replenish shelves quickly, and keeping product presentation sharp
• Setting up new promos, sorting out ticketing, and adjusting floor layouts as directed
• Supporting the Shift Supervisor and pitching in wherever the team needs you most
• Keeping the store clean, tidy, and safe during peak trading times
• Following standard health and safety guidelines

About you

• You've got solid retail experience and know how to handle a busy shop floor
• You’re reliable, fast on your feet, and always show up on time for your shifts
• You have sound cash handling skills and know your way around a computer
• You have the initiative to spot what needs doing and crack on with it without needing constant direction
• You stay calm and practical under pressure, balancing speed with a warm, welcoming attitude
• You're physically up for a busy shift of being on your feet and lifting stock safely
