You will greet customers, provide friendly service, handle enquiries in-store, over the phone, via live chat and email, process sales, credits and returns, and assist with stock management including unpacking deliveries and pricing.

Retail Assistant - Hospitality Store - Cairns

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service in our Hospitality Store. You’ll be part of a supportive team with a great culture, working in our Cairns store Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Be Doing

Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service

Assist with customer enquiries in-store, over the phone, via live chat, and by email

Process sales orders, credits, and returns

Handle cash transactions, end-of-day reconciliation, petty cash, and banking

Manage stock — unpacking deliveries, lifting and moving stock, barcoding, pricing, and ensuring correct placement in-store

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for collection or delivery

Maintain a clean and well-presented store through regular merchandising and shelf organisation

About You

Previous experience in a customer service-focused role

Quick learner with a proactive attitude

Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on positive customer outcomes

Self-motivated and a strong team player

Excellent communication skills, with patience and empathy when engaging with a diverse customer base

Experience with EFTPOS systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills are an advantage
