Dahlsens Building Centres Pty is seeking a friendly, reliable Retail Assistant to join our busy Scott St team in Cairns. You’ll be the first contact for customers, providing product advice and service to builders, tradies, and DIYers.
Based on the hardware counter, you’ll listen, ask the right questions, and help customers get what they need while upholding store safety and accuracy. Prior experience in hardware is a plus; forklift LF is essential.

This role is front and centre of our business supporting our trade and retail customers with the right products, advice and service every day. Based on the hardware counter, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers. You’ll listen, ask the right questions, and make it easy for customers to get what they need whether they’re builders, tradies or DIYers.
Prior experience with hardware, or within the building industry is advantageous. The role is well suited to someone with confidence, who enjoys working with people.
