Job summary

Frontline Recruitment Group – Mooloolaba QLD is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead a premium dining operation on a 6–12 month secondment. Oversee front-of-house service, staff development, rostering and daily operations to ensure outstanding guest experiences.

You will work closely with the kitchen and management teams in a fast-paced beachfront setting, driving service excellence, training staff, managing labour costs, and ensuring smooth coordination of reservations and events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior hospitality leadership role.
• Experience in premium restaurants, contemporary dining or high-volume operations.
• Strong leadership to motivate, train and develop front-of-house staff.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to step into an exciting fixed‑term secondment, supporting the day‑to‑day operations of this established premium restaurant. Starting as soon as possible, this opportunity is expected to run for approximately 6–12 months and is ideal for a confident hospitality leader who can quickly settle into an established operation, lead from the front and maintain exceptional standards. Working closely with the wider management and kitchen teams, you will oversee restaurant service, lead and develop the front‑of‑house team, maintain high service standards and ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience. You will take responsibility for staff management, rostering, training, customer satisfaction and daily operational performance, while supporting beverage service, bookings, functions and the smooth coordination of restaurant operations. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong leadership, excellent communication and the ability to thrive in a busy, premium dining environment.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or proven experience in a senior hospitality leadership role.
• Experience within premium restaurants, contemporary dining or high‑volume hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, train and develop a front‑of‑house team.
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant service standards, guest relations and service recovery.
• Experience managing staff rosters, labour costs, operational procedures and daily performance.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities during busy services.
• Confidence handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally.
• A collaborative approach when working with kitchen leadership and other team members.
• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to step into an established operation at short notice.
• Availability to commence as soon as possible and commit to an anticipated 6–12-month secondment.
