Minor Hotels Australasia Limited, Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel, Mackay QLD, seeks an enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to lead the restaurant and bar operations, primarily evening shifts and occasional weekends. This full-time role emphasizes guest experiences, service efficiency, and developing the Food & Beverage team.

You will oversee daily operations, promote your property’s dining offerings, collaborate with the kitchen, coach staff, manage rosters, and ensure RSA, hygiene, and safety

Qualifications

• 12+ months supervisory or managerial experience in a similar role.
• 3+ years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel environment.
• Solid understanding of alcohol service (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and a professional attitude.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth daily operations of the restaurant & bar.
• Develop understanding of the property’s food and beverage offerings.
• Collaborate with kitchen during service to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.
• Coach and train F&B Attendants to maintain high performance.
• Manage staff rostering, workflow and service standards.
• Monitor RSA, hygiene and WHS compliance.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and reporting.
• Drive guest satisfaction and continuous improvement.
