Grand Pacific Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for The Marion in Canberra. You will lead day-to-day operations for high tea, weddings, corporate functions and private events, while managing front-of-house staff and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive revenue, monitor costs and ensure WHS and RSA compliance, with a hands-on leadership style during nights and peak periods.

Competenze

• Proven experience as Restaurant/Venue/Events Manager in premium hospitality.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and peak periods.
• ACT RSA certification.

About the role

The Marion is one of Canberra’s best-known venues for high tea, weddings and corporate events. We’re looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to take full operational charge of the venue. This role works nights and weekends.

The role

• Run day-to-day operations across high tea, weddings, corporate functions and private events
• Lead, roster, train and develop the front-of-house team
• Work closely with the General Manager, Events and Kitchen to make sure every event runs smoothly
• Keep service standards and venue presentation high, and handle guest feedback
• Drive revenue, control costs and manage compliance (WHS, RSA)

About you

• Proven experience as a Restaurant, Venue or Events Manager in premium hospitality
• A warm, approachable personality, comfortable with both guests and team
• Confident, hands‑on leader who takes full ownership of operations
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail
• Available to work nights and weekends, including every weekend, public holidays and peak event periods
