Job summary

Cairns Colonial Club Resort in Cairns, Australia is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for Thirsty Flamingo Poolside Bar and Cafe. This permanent full-time role requires RSA and proven leadership, overseeing a team of Food & Beverage attendants, and delivering high standard service across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends with no split shifts.

You will implement SOPs, train staff, manage rosters and attendance, and ensure cocktails and coffee are prepared to a premium

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader/Supervisor in a hotel/resort environment.
• RSA certification is required.
• Ability to lead by example and oversee F&B attendants.
• Strong customer service orientation and passion for guest satisfaction.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to implement and maintain SOPs in service.
• Proven ability to conduct staff training and mentoring.
• Experience with rosters, attendance, timekeeping and leave management.
• Knowledge of cocktails and coffee preparation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee poolside bar and cafe service on shifts.

Job description

Cairns Colonial Club Resort is a self-rated four star low-rise Resort property situated on elevenacres of award winning tropical gardens. The Resort has 345 rooms with2 Restaurants and 1 bar, 3 swimming pools and a fully equipped Conference Centre.

We areseeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to work in Thirsty Flamingo our Poolside Bar and Cafe. Permanent Full Time role. Must have an RSA andexperience in a similar role. Role includes breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts and weekends, but No Split Shifts.

The successful applicant will display:

Previous experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor in similar role preferably in a Hotel/Resort environment

Ability to lead by example and oversee Food and Beverage Attendants and their performance whilst on shift

A strong Work ethic with a passion and enthusiasm for great customer service

Excellent organisational andtime management skills

Ability to work autonomously and produce excellentservice in a fast paced environment

Be able to implement, monitor and maintain Food and Beverage standard operating procedures.

Conduct staff training for staff both on and off the job, facilitate multiskilling and effective induction for new staff.

Oversee rosters and monitor daily attendance, timekeeping, sick leave and annual holidays of all service staff in collaboration with the Director of Food & Beverage and Asst. Food and Beverage Manager.
