The position offers a true 38‑hour week, with overtime optional, 4 weeks annual leave, long service leave after five years, and training opportunities. A current driver’s licence and plant certificates are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant plant competency certificates, or sufficient practical experience demonstrating competency.
• A current unrestricted driver’s licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for professional interactions.
• Ability to operate or learn weighbridge systems, including transactions and payments.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant and equipment at the Aberdeen Waste Management Facility.
• Assist with weighbridge operations and related administrative tasks.
• Provide customer service and keep the facility safe, clean and well‑maintained.
• May work across other Council facilities as required.
