Job summary

Aberdeen, NSW, is seeking a Resource Recovery Operator to join the Sustainability team. The role involves operating and maintaining plant and equipment, assisting weighbridge operations, and providing customer service while keeping the facility safe and well-maintained.

Based at the Aberdeen Waste Management Facility, you may work across other Council facilities and should bring relevant certificates or practical experience in waste management. A current driver's licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant plant competency certificates or proven experience.
• A current unrestricted driver’s licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate weighbridge systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant and equipment at the facility.
• Assist with weighbridge operations and transactions.
• Provide customer service and keep the facility safe, clean and well‑maintained.
• May work across other Council facilities as required.
