Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking a Resource Recovery Operator for the Aberdeen Waste Management Facility. You will operate and maintain plant and equipment, assist with weighbridge operations and provide excellent customer service while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Based at Aberdeen, you may also work across other Council facilities as required. A strong team, practical work, and commitment to community values are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate or learn weighbridge systems and handle payments.
• Commitment to safe plant operation and environmental compliance.
• Experience in waste management or resource recovery is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain plant and equipment at the Aberdeen Waste Management Facility.
• Assist with weighbridge operations and administrative duties.
• Provide customer service and keep the facility safe, clean and well‑maintained.
• May work across other Council facilities as required.
