Job summary

Spinifex State College seeks a dedicated staff member to join the Residential Campus boarding team in North West Queensland. You will supervise students, mentor them throughout schooling and liaise with students, parents and the school to meet wellbeing and pastoral care needs.

The role requires active supervision, a rotating roster including nights and weekends, and a commitment to providing a safe home-away-from-home environment for secondary students.

Qualifications

• Mandatory First Aid certification.
• Working with Children Blue Card required.
• Current driver’s licence required.
• LHR bus licence or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 pastoral care, supervision and support to residential students.
• Monitor student wellbeing, behaviour and health; enforce residential rules.
• Plan activities supporting social, personal and educational development.
• Maintain a safe, caring and supportive residential environment.
• Collaborate with school staff to support attendance, safety and wellbeing.
