Job summary

Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort is seeking a Casual Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team and deliver seamless booking experiences from the first contact. You will be the friendly voice helping guests with enquiries, converting them into bookings and ensuring every reservation is handled with care.

This role offers a flexible casual roster across the week, ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys guest interaction, personalised service and contributing to a welcoming

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel reservations or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong guest service skills and knowledge of the accommodation booking process.
• Experience with Opera Cloud is advantageous.
• Confident communication and a passion for connecting with guests.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proactive in identifying sales opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming reservation enquiries via phone and email with warmth.
• Convert enquiries into bookings through effective communication and sales.
• Provide accurate information on accommodation, facilities, packages and experiences.
• Upsell opportunities to enhance the guest stay.
• Maintain guest details and booking information accurately.
• Assist guests with queries and provide solutions.
• Monitor availability and rates to support revenue performance.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Sales and hotel teams to ensure a seamless journey.
