Job summary

Adelaide University in North Adelaide is seeking a role to support the development and evaluation of resources addressing climate-related mental health. The role contributes to teaching, research and the creation of professional education resources for diverse audiences.

The successful candidate will work within the College of Health under leading investigators, translating research into practical educational materials and delivering them through curricula and professional resources.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification and/or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
• Teaching, training or educational experience with learning materials development.
• Experience undertaking research or literature reviews to inform educational resources.
• Ability to develop clear content for varied audiences, including training materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication for collaboration with researchers and stakeholders.

• Based in the College of Health at the North Adelaide Campus
• Salary Range: $117,100 – $138,515 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters

Contribute to an innovative research project exploring the mental health impacts of climate‑induced heritage loss. You will help develop, deliver and evaluate practical education and professional resources that support more informed and sustainable responses to climate‑related distress.

The broader project is funded through the MRFF Mental Health and Climate Change initiative and focuses on mitigating the population mental health impacts associated with climate breakdown‑related loss or anticipated loss of heritage

The team

Reporting to Professor Jonathan Jureidini, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary project within the College of Health, supporting research, curriculum development, teaching and the creation of professional education resources.

Working alongside the project team and Chief Investigator Associate Professor Toby Freeman, you will contribute to the development of resources designed to improve understanding and responses to climate‑related mental health impacts.

Experience

• A relevant postgraduate qualification and/or equivalent professional experience in a discipline relevant to the project
• Demonstrated teaching, training or educational experience, including the development or delivery of learning materials
• Experience undertaking research, literature reviews or desktop research to inform educational or professional resources
• Demonstrated ability to develop clear and engaging content for different audiences, including training or professional development materials
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders
• Experience contributing to the evaluation of teaching, training programs or educational resources would be highly regarded
