Job summary

Viking Industrial, based in Moranbah, QLD, is seeking a proactive Rental Coordinator to support daily rental operations, fleet management and customer requirements. You will coordinate deliveries, liaise with multiple teams, and help maintain equipment readiness to meet client expectations across mining, construction and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in rental coordination or equipment logistics.
• Strong customer service, communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, urgent breakdowns, transport requirements and deadlines.
• Experience with hire systems, fleet registers, invoicing or PPSR processes desirable.
• Forklift licence desired, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily Rental Division meetings and review KPI performance.
• Process hire contracts and ensure rental fleet data accuracy.
• Coordinate delivery/collection and transport for on-hire and off-hire movements.
• Assist with loading/unloading of equipment for hire.
• Maintain a baseline of available rental equipment and conduct weekly stock takes.
• Communicate with customers on delivery timing and requirements; liaise with operations on pre-delivery readiness.
• Coordinate and schedule equipment maintenance and QA before/after hire.
• Receive breakdown calls and escalate to appropriate internal teams promptly.
• Process invoices and purchase orders for external clients and subcontractors.
• Complete PPSR registrations for hired equipment and maintain rental records.
• Report end-of-month rental revenue to Branch/Area Manager and perform other general duties.
