Job summary

Reliable Hire is seeking a motivated Branch Operations / Sales Coordinator to join the Rockhampton team. You will coordinate equipment deliveries, maintain schedules and support customers, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role involves logistics, administration and proactive engagement with customers to identify hire opportunities while collaborating with sales, workshop and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in equipment hire, logistics, branch operations or sales support.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt when priorities change.
• Confidence in proactively contacting customers and following up sales opportunities.
• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups and returns, ensuring hire schedules run smoothly.
• Manage equipment logistics, transport arrangements and accurate records.
• Respond to customer enquiries, resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Coordinate equipment breakdowns, repairs and replacements with workshop staff and contractors.
• Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers through outbound calls, emails and follow-ups.
• Follow up outstanding quotes, identify new hire opportunities and support the Area Manager with sales activities.
• Monitor equipment availability and fleet utilisation, keeping accurate customer and sales records.
• Support daily branch operations, administration and purchasing.
• Work closely with sales, workshop, finance and logistics teams.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain an organised, efficient branch.
