Anton Paar Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Perth to provide on-site support for Western Australian customers, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on analytical instruments. The role combines a home-office base with field service at customer sites, requiring travel locally and overseas for training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a field-based service role.
• Qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with laboratory or analytical instruments.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Customer-facing experience with professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service priorities.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license.
• Valid unlimited working rights in Australia.
• Willingness to travel locally and overseas for training including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Duties include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Anton Paar’s Analytical measuring devices.
• Calibration and electronic adjustments.
• Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair.
• Inventory management (car stock).
• Completion of administrative tasks associated with field service actions.
• This role is home office based and the service work will be carried out on customer's sites.
