Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Specialist Development Application Lodgement Officer to manage the administrative components of Development Applications and coordinate between Assessment Officers and the community.

The role involves preliminary reviews, ensuring information is complete, referrals carried out, and exhibition completed, with strong NSW Planning Act and policy interpretation, plus delivering efficient administrative support within the Development Assessment unit.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated administrative experience and knowledge of lodgement requirements for development applications.
• Ability to deliver accurate work within tight timeframes in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with technology and generic software used in Local Government.
• Experience with development application systems or related software is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Undertake preliminary reviews of applications to ensure information is complete and referrals are completed.
• Interpret and apply NSW planning legislation and related policies.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the Development Assessment team to ensure high-quality, responsive service.
