Job summary

Lane Cove Council on the lower North Shore invites applications for two Development Compliance Officers to join our Building/Development Compliance team. This permanent full-time role (35 hours per week) provides expert advice to the public and staff on development, building compliance and unauthorised works, helping to protect our communities.

You will assess, respond to service requests, and assist the Principal Building Surveyor with Building Information Certificates and Annual Fire Safety

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or relevant experience.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• Knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Regulations, Swimming Pool Act and related Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to the public and staff on development, building compliance and unauthorised works.
• Respond to service requests related to building/development compliance.
• Assist the Principal Building Surveyor with Building Information Certificates & Annual Fire Safety Statements.

Skills

Current C Class Driver Licence

Education

Tertiary Qualifications in Building Surveying or relevant experience
