Job summary

Inner West Council is seeking a Development Assessment Planner to efficiently process development applications under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and related legislation. You will respond to requests for advice and participate in a streamlined lodgement and duty town planning service to ensure high-quality guidance.

The role requires tertiary planning qualifications, strong communication, and experience with planning acts; a NSW Class C Licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience applying the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Local Government Act.
• High level communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
• NSW Class C Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process development and associated applications under the EP&A Act and LG Act.
• Provide advice on development matters, including Pre-DA matters.
• Deliver a consistent and high-standard lodgement and duty town planning service.
