Job summary

Gridsight is hiring a Data Product Manager to own the squad that models, stores, and surfaces the grid's electrical state. You will oversee the data platform, external data sharing, and analytics, directing a broad, fast-moving portfolio.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers and scientists to translate complex requirements into robust product specs and help scale a critical data backbone for utilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with a strong data domain at the core.
• Understanding of data as a product including quality contracts and governance.
• Experience with API product management or data catalog products and change management for data consumers.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a complex environment.
• Proven ability to work with data engineering and data science teams to translate complexity into requirements.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up where product scope is still evolving.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap across network event detection models, the data platform and system of record, external data sharing, and the analytics platform.
• Define data sharing product governance, versioning, and production integrations.
• Improve detection models through close collaboration with data science.
• Drive data platform investments and underpin scaling infrastructure.
• Prioritize competing product requests from AU and US utility customers with clear stakeholder communication.
• Shape long-term data product strategy, contracts, and architectural direction for the data team.
