Job summary

Gridsight, Australia-based GridTech startup, is hiring a Customer Data Analyst to turn utility customer data into actionable insights. You will build dashboards and bespoke analyses that help customers understand their grid and answer questions they can't yet answer themselves.

You’ll work with Power Engineers, Customer Data Engineers, and Product to ensure data is available, well-structured, and reliable, translating recurring analyses into platform features as demand grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data analytics or related role with hands-on data work and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong SQL skills to analyse, validate, and wrangle complex datasets.
• Experience building dashboards and data visualizations.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, transformation, and scripting.
• Ability to communicate data-driven findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure and modern development practices (Git, CLIs).
• Exposure to dbt or similar ELT/ETL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analytics & Visualization: Build dashboards and visualisations for customers.
• Translate business questions into analytical tasks and communicate findings clearly to all audiences.
• Deliver ad hoc and bespoke analyses to surface insights not yet available in the product.
• Validate outputs against quality standards to ensure accuracy.
