Job summary

HumanAbility is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support the creation and delivery of communications about our work. The role involves planning, drafting and delivering clear communications across our website, newsletters, events and social media.

You will work with the Senior Communications Advisor and other team members to translate complex content into plain English, coordinate with contractors, and ensure accessibility for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism or related field
• Experience in not-for-profit or government sector preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan, draft and create clear, concise and compelling communications across channels
• Translate technical content into plain English for diverse audiences
• Draft materials with clarity, accuracy and consistency
• Ensure content accessibility for diverse audiences and stakeholders
• Collaborate with other teams to align communications across sectors
• Assist in development of multimedia content (videos/graphics) as required
• Adhere to work health, safety and wellbeing policies
