HumanAbility is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support the planning, drafting and delivery of communications about our work. You will help manage internal and external channels, including our website, newsletters and social media, and work with contractors to produce multimedia content.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or similar, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Communications team, preferably not-for-profit or government sectors.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with content management systems and social media platforms; Monday.com or similar.

Responsibilities

• Identify and create content for communications channels (social, digital, newsletters).
• Translate complex policy content into plain English for target audiences.
• Draft clear, accurate, and consistent communications materials.
• Ensure content accessibility for diverse audiences including stakeholders and public.
• Coordinate with other teams to align communications across sectors.
• Assist in developing multimedia content (videos, graphics) as needed.
• Follow workplace health, safety and wellbeing policies.
