Job summary

HumanAbility is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to support the creation and delivery of communications about our work. The role will plan, draft and create clear, concise content across our website, newsletter, events and social media channels.

You’ll work with the Senior Communications Advisor and broader team to ensure content is accessible and appropriate for diverse audiences, liaising with contractors as needed; travel may be required for meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or related field.
• Experience in a not-for-profit or government communications team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with CMS and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan and create content for communications channels.
• Translate complex content into plain English for target audiences.
• Draft clear and consistent communication materials.
• Ensure content accessibility for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate with other teams to align communications.
• Assist in developing multimedia content such as videos and graphics.
• Follow WHS policies.
